Eat Local Challenge - Farm Tours and my day at Lowland Farms!

Despite the icky weather this past weekend, the Lowcountry Farm Tours happened Saturday and from what I could tell over at Lowland Farms, people were having a great time!

I was volunteering the event and arrived at Lowland Farms early in the morning. Kenneth, aka “Skinny”, and Jay are the stewards of this beautiful land. Both greeted me with warm welcomes and seemed excited to be showing folks around their farm. I was just excited that there were baby goats!

These guys are everywhere, making things happen on the food front! Since its conception over seven decades ago, Limehouse Produce has established themselves as an emblem of food production and distribution in the Lowcountry.
