What is your Local Plate Special? Our current local plate special is Arugula, Strawberries, Goat Cheese, and Pecans with Champagne Vinaigrette served as either a salad or a wrap. This will change throughout the month based on what is available and what we receive locally.
Give us a brief history of your restaurant. Verde opened in October at 347 King Street and is Charleston's first salad focused restaurant. We offer over 40 fresh and healthy ingredients and specialty housemade dressings. Customers can create their own salad or wrap or select from our Verde signature creations.
Who are you local providers? We work with Limehouse and Growfood SC who both source a variety of local produce that changes based on what is available.
Why have you decided to source local? Why not is the question? Items available locally come into your restaurant and can be served to your customers sooner, as a fresher option. Being another small, local business, it is also great to support other local businesses.
What is the fan favorite local menu item? Our customers love the local arugula when we have it available, it has a nice peppery taste to it and goes so well on our BLT Salad!
