Our annual Buy Local Month campaign was extended into a 2-month “Buy Local Season” campaign for the first time, with a “Vote for Mom & Pop” theme to coincide with the election season. In the heat of a very polarized election, the campaign helped to remind the community that no matter what your political beliefs, everyone can support “mom & pop” shops and make a real impact on our community and its future. 6,100+ postcards were mailed across the Lowcountry directing citizens to the campaign site. We also displayed nearly 100 yard signs around the region in high-foot traffic areas and supporters’ yards.
