AMA Spark Award Submissions: Best Use of Influencer Marketing

Each April, Lowcountry Local First (LLF) hosts a public awareness campaign known as Eat Local Month.  Outside of a couple of annual events and celebrations, the organization hosts a month-long public challenge, asking citizens to pledge to shift their dollars and habits to local food sources throughout the month. All who pledge are then provided weekly blasts of content and access to a private Facebook group to help them make the most of their Challenge – sharing anything from recipes, tips on how to eat local while dining out, to farmers market launch information. Each week throughout the month of April, at least one well-known local social or media influencer provided content for the Challenge, sharing how and why they choose local food sources. Browse the links below to see each week’s e-newsletter:

Week 1 – Featured Queen of the Food Age, Charleston Ale Trail, and Post and Courier’s Stephanie Barna

Week 2 – Featured Appetit Nutrition and Plate South

Week 3 – Featured Plate South, High Wire Distilling, Obstinate Daughter

Week 4 – Featured SC Aquarium, Charleston Ale Trail, Fresh Beet Nutrition
