Lewis Barbecue

Pitmaster John Lewis brings his signature Central Texas barbecue to Charleston, with his first restaurant, Lewis Barbecue in the city’s emerging Upper Peninsula. Before moving to the Holy City, John lived in Austin, TX, where he oversaw the acclaimed BBQ program at La Barbecue. John's signature dishes include his award-winning smoked brisket, Texas hot guts and barbecued oxtails. Lewis Barbecue is open from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Tuesday - Sunday and offers an extensive bar program as well as regular live music.
