Small Business Accounting Overview
This workshop will cover the financial requirements for a business launch: choosing the structure, maintaining your books and financial statements, cash flow management, tax reporting, using CPA or bookkeeper. Our speaker will be Joe Hinske, partner in Legare Bailey Hinske LLC located in Mt Pleasant.

Grants for Technology Focused Entrepreneurs
The SBAs Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant program provides $2.8 billion/yr to small businesses who have an innovative new product idea and need funding to conduct scientific research to bring their product to market. This workshop will review the requirements to write a winning proposal

Quickbooks for Beginners – North Charleston
The QuickBooks For Beginners Workshop is a review of the usefulness of Quickbooks to organize and track your day-to-day business transactions for both cash receipts, customer payments and all the costs associated with operating a business. Quickbooks is a great platform to maintain and manage your financial records.

Quickbooks for Current Users – North Charleston
The QuickBooks For Current Users Workshop is a more comprehensive review of capabilities including tracking sales tax, time tracking and payroll processing for employees, using estimates and sales orders and job costing. Attendees should have taken Quickbooks For Beginners or have a basic understanding of QuickBooks already.

SCORE Mentoring
The mission of the Charleston SCORE Chapter is to provide professional counseling and mentoring to entrepreneurs. They offer ongoing free resources, one-on-one counseling, and workshops for existing and new small businesses. Local Works hosts our members for free monthly mentoring from local SCORE mentors every third Thursday of the month. RSVP or join the wait list for the next session here.
