Through our Buy Local and Eat Local initiatives, we connected consumers, policymakers and media to our more than 500 businesses, representing 16,000 employees.


#2. We Grew More Farmers

131 graduates launched their farming and food system careers in our Growing New Farmers Program – 2015 was our biggest class yet – and the first cohort of new farm businesses at Dirt Works Incubator Farm is preparing to “hatch” in 2016.

#3. We Made Affordable Workspace Attainable

Since launch, more than 82 one-of-a-kind entrepreneurs have built their companies inside the walls of Local Works – our community coworking space for creatives, social entrepreneurs, and all industries.

#4. We Increased Supply and Demand for Local Food

720 farmers and food advocates gained business and production skills at our Good Farming Workshops, while the 625 locals that participated in the 2015 Eat Local Challenge vowed to continue supporting local farms and food producers, creating an annual economic impact of $1.6 million.

#5. We Led the Charge to Teach Models for Good Business

Our Good Business Summit and Workshops convened over 825 local business owners and professionals on best practices and innovative models for encouraging business to be a force for good.
