Eat Drink Local Season (April - June) is Lowcountry Local First's annual effort to focus attention on local growers, fishers, restaurants, bakers and beverage providers while providing fun and educational opportunities for our community to actively engage in eating and drinking what's in season. Join us for these community events and activities that directly connect you with the farmers, restaurants, businesses and organizations that make the Lowcountry a one-of-a-kind place to live, eat and drink!
17th Annual Chef's Potluck

One of the most popular fundraising events of the year, the 17th annual Chef’s Potluck is set to take place at the stunning, marsh-side Porter Room at Holy City Brewery in North Charleston. With more than 15 talented local chefs teaming up with farmers, fishermen, and ranchers, this event promises to be packed with good company and the freshest local ingredients the Lowcountry has to offer.
Tickets are all inclusive. Enjoy local libations, tastings from each chef, good tunes and the beautiful views. Kids 12 and under are free!
Eat Drink Local Challenge: Make the Shift
April - June
The Eat Drink Local Challenge asks that you commit to shifting $10 or more of your weekly food and beverage spending towards local sources. By signing the Pledge, we'll guide you on where to find the freshest ingredients, highlight participating restaurants, suggest places to grab a local libation, feature easy recipes, connect you with local farmers and CSAs and more!
April Local Social - Give Back with The Green Heart Project 💚
Thursday, April 17, 2025, 5 - 7:30 pm
Join us for the first of it's kind "Give Back" edition of our signature Local Social. This month, we’re rolling up our sleeves and volunteering in the garden with The Green Heart Project at The Urban Farm at Enston House. Sign up for one of two volunteer shifts and come prepared to get your hands in the dirt!
We'll be hosting drop in networking across the street at High Wire Distilling so stop in before or after volunteering to mingle with like-minded locavores, business owners, and entrepreneurs.
Can't make it to volunteer? No worries! Drop in to High Wire Distillery anytime between 5 – 7:30 pm. We want to see you!

Celebrate the abundant growing season in the Lowcountry by visiting one of the many vibrant farmers markets throughout the region or signing up for a CSA to have fresh, local produce delivered to your door!
