Credit Card Payment Settlement Deadline for Filing Extended

If your business accepted Visa or MasterCard credit cards between 2004 and 2019, you may be eligible for a payment as part of a recent $5.5 billion class-action settlement. The deadline to file your claim has been extended to Tuesday, February 4, 2025, giving you more time to ensure your business receives the compensation you are entitled to.

Here’s what you need to know:

Who is Eligible:

Any business that accepted Visa or MasterCard credit card payments between January 1, 2004, and January 25, 2019, may be eligible for compensation.  The settlement amount will depend both on your volume of transaction and the total number of claims filed by eligible applicants. If your business has closed permanently you are still eligible to participate.

How to File Your Claim:

  • Visit the official settlement website at PaymentCardSettlement.com
  • Have your the tax identification number for your business in hand
  • Complete the online claim form directly on the website

Important Tip:

We strongly recommend that you file your claim yourself rather than use a third-party provider. Filing is straightforward, and third-party providers often charge high fees for a process you can easily complete on your own. If you encounter challenges with your filing, please call 1-800-625-6440 or email info@PaymentCardSettlement.com and if you’re unable to resolve the issue don’t hesitate to contact us as the IRC is in close communication with the legal team managing the settlement.

Reminder: The deadline to file your claim has been extended to Tuesday, February 4, 2025, so make sure to take advantage of this additional time.
