Invest Local Season (July-September) is an exploration of the ways we as individual citizens, business leaders and funders can consciously and equitably support our community's emerging entrepreneurs. The signature event for this season is the annual "Ready, Set, Pitch!" event, and the campaign will include our annual "Move Your Money" week to drive awareness to our local financial institutions

Join us for the Invest Local Season Local Social and build relationships that matter! Mingle with like-minded entrepreneurs and learn about the many benefits of moving your money to a community-based financial institution. If you have an existing relationship with a local bank or credit union, we'll show you even more methods to keep your hard-earned money in your community.

Move Your Money Week

As an integral part of Invest Local Season, Move your Money Week, August 11-15, 2025, is Lowcountry Local First's annual effort to focus attention on the importance of banking local. You work hard for the money you earn so why not put your money with an institution that shares your values? Let’s work together to stop money wandering and keep it with those who live and work here.
Ready, Set, Pitch!

The 4th annual “Ready, Set, Pitch!” event will give graduates of La Academia Empresarial de la Comunidad the opportunity to share their stories, ideas, vision, and plan. Five finalists will receive access to expert advice and coaching to help them through the pitch process and beyond. Each of the five finalists will be supported if they choose to apply for a 0% interest loan of up to $15,000. Our esteemed panel of judges will select one talented and driven individual to receive a $10,000 prize to help take their business to the next level.
