Ready, Set, Pitch! Kickoff Workshop

This workshop is designed to prepare graduates of the Community Business Academy to participate in Ready, Set, Pitch!: Lowcountry Local First's annual pitch event. Executive Director of Lowcountry Local First, Jacquie Berger and Herbert L. Drayton III, Managing Partner of HI Mark Capital, will lead this one-hour session covering the timeline, the ins and outs of putting your pitch together, and the new elements being introduced this year.

The Ready, Set, Pitch! event gives Community Business Academy graduates like you the opportunity to share your story, vision, and plan. Most importantly, this is your chance to tell the judges and your community how an infusion of capital would transform your business. Five finalists will receive access to expert advice and coaching to help them through the pitch process and beyond. Each of the five finalists will be supported if they choose to apply for a 0% interest loan of up to $15,000. Our esteemed panel of judges will select one talented and driven individual to receive a $5,000 prize to help take their business to the next level.

The 2024 Ready, Set, Pitch competition will be held on September 21, 2024.
