Buy Local Month: Nov 15 – Dec 15, 2016

SHOP LOCAL this holiday season and purchase a “Sea is for Caramel” chocolate bar from participating Sweeteeth Chocolate retailers (listed below), and you could win one of FOUR prize packs full of donated items and experiences from your local business community. You have THREE ways to find a golden ticket:

  1. Buy a chocolate bar at our Buy Local Block Party! We’ll have Sea is for Caramel bars on sale at the Lowcountry Local First info table outside of Local Works. The For the Home ticket will be hidden within one of the bars!
  2. Shop local on Second Sunday on December 11 (1 – 5 p.m.) and use our map (view here) to hunt for a special ticket hidden in participating stores along King Street that day.

When consumers choose to support locally owned businesses, 45% of those dollars spent stay within our community as opposed to only 14% when choosing to buy from non-local retailers and businesses. This influx of revenue is essential for local business growth, strong schools, safer streets and an overall increased quality of life. By spending more money locally, citizens and visitors alike are contributing to the positive growth of the Lowcountry, and Lowcountry Local First is working to turn local economic prosperity into a way of life.
